Experience
I have been incredibly fortunate to have had dual career experiences - 40 years in Nursing (hospital staff, public health, nurse practitioner, nurse educator, nurse coordinator, and nurse consultant) and 30 years in Massage Therapy (hands-on experience as a massage therapy practitioner and instructor, including my own school of massage)! My program has been created through blending the best of these 2 professions.
My Story
Years ago, I was burned out and very unhappy with my life. It was then that I embarked on a deeply profound life journey. It was my quest to understand myself as a woman and to heal both my burnout and my unhappiness within. This intensive time of reflection and processing continued through many cycles for almost 20 years. This epic journey of experiences led me to an in-depth understanding of the Feminine - a woman's unique and special way of functioning, her strengths, challenges and heart-centered power.
As I embraced my burnout and unhappiness, I made the surprising connection between women, nursing and burnout. My conclusion: "Women burn out in a very intense and different way than men. Women's burnout requires a whole new paradigm of healing." This is a huge revelation, esp. since 92% of nurses are women!
It is with this awareness and focus that I developed and present my cutting-edge program, focused on healing the burned out heart of nursing. The end result is nurses who are happy within themselves and who work together in a heart-centered team spirit of compassionate cooperation and teamwork.
Personal
My home is in Houston, Texas. I have two incredible grown children who are my pride and joy. I am an avid bicyclist, swimmer & walker, and enjoy meditation and travel . I delight in baking for family and friends and am fondly referred to as the "Cookie Lady" in my neighborhood.
